Anagha Paranjape-Purohit
Anagha is an architect and environmental planner by qualification, having completed her graduation in Architecture from University of Pune and her post graduation in Environmental Planning from Arizona State University. Anagha is also trained in areas of Public Policy from Takshila Institute of Public Policy and Urban Renewal in Cities by London School of Economics both internationally acclaimed certificate programs. She has worked in India and internationally in the field of Architecture and Urban Environmental Planning, her career spanning 24 years.
Anagha has written numerous professional articles on the subject of Architecture and Environmental Planning, with special emphasis on making Sustainable Cities. She now forays into fiction novel writing with a story that has brewed inside her heart and mind for some years. Anagha resides in Pune with her husband and grown children, the entire family engaged in artistic pursuits such as music, fine art and movie making.
Anagha is personally very well connected to various literary and thought leadership networks in Pune, herself being a part of social and public platforms and organizations. Her social media presence, through her expression of opinion through articles and messages, is a testimony to her significant outreach. Anagha is active in local urban politics and policy action for developing better urban plans and infrastructure. Anagha is trustee of Mamta Foundation, a charitable trust that provides shelter for orphaned HIV +ve children in Pune.
